Kitchen/utility Renovation

Kitchen/utility Renovation

This particular job started off with just needing to fit a couple of new windows and a new kitchen. However upon ripping out the old kitchen, we encountered a few unexpected issues. These included rotten rafter ends and bad ventilation. Due to these issues, we had to strip down and re-build the roof. This in turn, gave us the opportunity to create a vaulted ceiling, which then curved into a small, flat ceiling at the top. We also had to install a new velux window, in order to make the most of the natural light. After this, we timber framed the external wall, fitted insulation and was able to achieve a good air flow behind the new stud work.

The next stage included fitting the 2 new windows, plastering, decorating and laying a new Brazilian slate floor. We finished off by fitting the new kitchen and skirting.
